“NEW YORK STORIES” with  Former Nylon Micah Barnes
Micah’s new show “New York Stories” takes you on a musical tour of The Big Apple starting uptown at The Apollo Theatre and The Cotton Club and moving midtown to Time Square & Broadway before landing downtown at Jazz Clubs Birdland and The Blue Note in The Village. The Canadian Jazz crooner will be performering classic songs from legendary New York songwriters like Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Fats Waller, Duke Ellington, Carole King & Burt Bacharach, as well as songs from Micah’s critically acclaimed disc “New York Stories” (eOne Music).
Micah Barnes has been a treasured voice on the Canadian music scene for decades, and is a former member of the A Cappella group The Nylons. Micah’s latest C.D. “New York Stories”(eOne Music) is a romantic collection of original songs inspired by the Big Apple’s rich musical history, as well as the artist’s own romance in “The City that Never Sleeps”. In his new show Micah takes the audience on a tour of New York City’s musical history including beloved chestnuts from The Nylons catalogue in every show!
