Born and raised in Paris, Olivier  started traveling at a very young age in Europe and worldwide. he lived mainly in France, Netherlands, Reunion Island and has lived in Montreal since 2010.

He has had the opportunity to play in numerous festivals and venues (francofolies de Montreal (Canada), Sakifo Music festival (Réunion), Jazz In Marciac (France), Angeradona (madagascar), jazz a port au Prince (Haiti), Milatsika festival (mayotte), New morning (Paris)

An early passion for Blues, Rock and traditionnal music led him naturally towards jazz, developing his improvisation skills under various forms. He participated in numerous albums and studio recordings. He ‘s often called in the studio to play other instruments in addition to basses.

He graduated from Music Academy International in Nancy and The Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood. He obtained his first prize in jazz interpretation from Conservatoire National de la Région Réunion where he also studied classical bass. He has a professionnal Master’s degree in film music writing from The Université du Québec à Montréal.

Olivier plays bass and African thumb piano (Kalimba). It is really lovely stuff. Here is the trio with “Bim Maloya”
