CD review: Mark Eisenman - Jazz Classics 2021: Video, CD cover •

Mark Eisenman has performed with numerous eminent Canadian and U.S. jazz artists including the following:  Scott Hamilton, Art Farmer, Lew Tabackin, Barney Kessell, Ed Bickert, Rob McConnell, Guido Basso, and Pat Labarbera, Sam Noto.
Mark is proud to have recorded (Sweet and Lovely) with drummer Jimmy Cobb. Knowledgable jazz fans will recognize Cobb as the drummer on Kind Of Blue. (Miles Davis’ classic recording), which also features Pat Collins who is on bass for this performance.
He is well represented on dozens of other recordings.
The trio will perform many well known jazz standards by the Great American Songbook composers, and jazz composers (Ellington, Golson, Thelonious Monk) as well as some originals in the same tradition by the leader Mark Eisenman.
A top call vocal accompanist and long time jazz educator you’ll find him in any situation where taste, feel, and a jazz sensibility is important.
“His professional status is based largely on his skill and versatility as an ensemble player, but what marks him most is an ability to produce, no matter what the musical company, distinctive well-structured solos”- (Toronto Star).
