Philip Bast takes you inside the Huether Hotel for a transformation in decore, moving from rock’n’roll to a little something jazzy:
Rock comes down, jazz goes up. Nothing against 4 beats per measure and 3 chords a song, but sonority at the Huether is about to get a whole lot more creative than the Steve Miller Band or The Doors…
This is all happening in the Kent Room, right on street level and opposite of Cafe 1842. This is the same Huether room featured in CTV’s Dan For Mayor and known as a burlesque hot spot in years past.
Adding new records to the wall is just one piece of the transition. Live shows starting in September is when the fun really begins.
Special thanks to The Record.
