Jeff Daniels has had a passion for jazz piano since he was 16 years old. Having been fortunate enough to see many of his piano idols like Tommy Flanagan, Bill Evans, Chick Corea in various Toronto venues in the seventies, he was inspired to follow his passion by studying jazz piano at university. After graduating in the 80’s, Jeff has been active as a jazz educator, pianist and singer, performing for over 33 years. Since moving to Guelph in 1998, Jeff has been blessed to a part of the amazing KW/ Guelph musical community performing at many different venues, and he has appeared on recordings by Brent Rowan and Rob Gellner. Jeff is also no stranger to The Jazz Room. He has played here regularly since the first year it opened, as an opening act playing solo piano, and as a member of groups led by Joni Neh Rita, Jason Raso and Rob Gellner. Most recently, Jeff has been playing at the Jazz Room as part of the Big Band Theory and Robin Jessome’s tribute to The Birth Of The Cool. Jeff is thrilled to be playing again at The Jazz Room and he is honoured to share the stage with these fine musicians.
