Former members of The Blood Sweat and Tears and David Clayton Thomas bands will be performing in a Reunion Show at The Jazz Room, featuring vocalists Dane Hartsell and D’Eve Archer. The performance will include BS&T hits including Spinning Wheel, You’ve Made Me So Very Happy, God Bless the Child, Lucretia McEvil, Don’t Explain, 40,000 Headmen, Go Down Gamblin’, Hi Dee Ho and many more.

Blood Sweat and Tears were an iconic band that greatly impacted the music industry with their unique infusion of Jazz into Rock, Blues and Funk. Of note, BS&T won a total of 6 Grammys (more Grammys than the Beatles) including the Grammy for 1970 Album of the Year – edging out the Beatles’ “Abbey Road”; Johnny Cash’s “Johnny Cash at San Quentin”; Crosby Stills and Nash’s “Crosby Stills and Nash”; and the Fifth Dimension’s “Age of Aquarius”!

The reunion performance in The Jazz Room will be led by Bruce Cassidy, who in addition to being a member (trumpet) of the BS&T, was the band’s Music Director. Bruce also composed and arranged much of the material on the BS&T Nuclear Blues Album. After David Clayton Thomas (DCT) formally left the BS&T and toured under his own name, Bruce was Musical Director, arranger, composer and trumpet player for DCT, for several years. Bruce has previously played the Jazz Room with Diane Roblin, Paul Hoffert, Kieran Overs, and Terry Clarke. DCT was a Canadian, and most of his band were drawn from a pool of Canada’s top musicians, who collectively, have also performed with such artists as Ann Murray, Aretha Franklin, Brass Transit, Bruce Cockburn, Chicago, Christopher Cross, David Bradstreet, Diana Krall, Dionne Warwick, Doc Severinsen, Ella Fitzgerald, Elton John, Feist, Glass Tiger, Gordon Lightfoot, Holly Cole, Jeff Healey, Kenny Wheeler, Kiss, Lighthouse, Manhattan Transfer, Manteca, Maynard Ferguson, Mel Torme, Michael Kaeshammer, Molly Johnson, The Nylons, Paul Anka, Peabo Bryson, Peter Appleyard, Randy Brecker, Ray Charles, Rob McConnell, Roberta Flack, Sheena Easton, Susan Aglukark, The Temptations, Tower of Power, Triumph – to name just a few.
